Wedding Party

Maid of Honor: Rosalie Barbour
Rosalie is my "bestest best forever friend." Rosalie and I have known each other since second grade, and our friendship continues to grow year after year. We've made it through middle school band, high school boys, church trips around the country, and more than a handful of Disney adventures. Now, I get to share my biggest adventure yet with Rosalie as she plans her own wedding for this winter! There will be none of that Bride Wars drama here! Planning our weddings together has only brought us closer together :) Much more than a friend, Rosie is the closest thing I have ever had to a sister. I'm so blessed to have her stand beside me on my big day!

Bridesmaid: Annabelle Barbour
Annabelle is Rosalie's little sister. Annabelle and I met when I was in second grade and Annabelle was only four years old! Annabelle was always around whenever I would go over to Rosie's house, so it was inevitable that she would also become a life long friend. Annabelle also joined the youth choir and traveled the country with me and Rosie. When it came time to pick a college Annabelle headed down south to VSU where she still lives today. With Rosie being so far away, I try to help Annabelle whenever I can and love spending time with her!

  Bridesmaid: Lindsey Dillard
Lindsey is JD's little sister. She is a sophomore nursing student at GCSU in Milledgeville, GA. Lindsey and I obviously met when JD and I started dating six years ago. Lindsey was only in 8th grade so we didn't have much in common at first. However, as Lindsey has grown up, we have grown closer over the years. I try to help Lindsey by keeping her brother in line whenever boys are brought up! After spending my life as an only child, I am ecstatic about soon being able to call Lindsey my sister!

Bridesmaid: Jessica Boyd
I first met Jessica several years ago at VSU. Our friendship really took off when my principal brought her into my classroom to introduce her as a new coworker! Jessica lives only a few doors down, and we have spent the past few years teaching together in Lowndes County. Bonding over school and playdates between our combined four dogs has made Jessica the dear friend that she is today. Jessica's husband, Chris, is also friends with JD and will be in the wedding as well. Jessica and Chris just got married in Valdosta last November, so she will prove to be a huge help with all of the planning!

Best Man: John Dillard
It wouldn't be a Southern wedding without my father as the best man. He's someone I've always looked up to, until I grew that extra inch back in high school. He's been a role model, a friend, a mentor, and most of all a loving dad. He's always been there when I needed him and always given me his full support in everything I do. I couldn't ask for a better father and friend, and I'm honored to have him stand beside me on my wedding day.

Groomsman: Drew Patterson
Drew is the kind of strong Christian man who inspires me to better myself daily. He's always encouraging and kind to others, and an excellent role model of a Shomer, loving husband, father, and friend. Drew also plays a mean right field for the church softball team, adding some ESPN worthy plays in the field and at the plate. He's always willing to lend a hand and never hesitates to share a smile, and I'm very blessed to have him as a friend.

Groomsman: Doug Fletcher
Doug and I met our freshmen year at VSU when we lived together in Brown Hall. He encouraged me to join the Outdoor Adventure Club, while pushing me to excel in the classrooms of North Campus and the gym in the Campus Rec center. He later convinced me to return to VSU and earn my MPA, which lead to many long talks about school, life, and our future. Doug has been a tremendous influence on my life and I always look forward to spending time with him.

Groomsman: Chris Boyd
I met Chris on a Chrysalis Flight in High School, before I came to know him in college. A National Champion tennis player, a fellow Master of Public Administration, and currently my neighbor, Chris has been a great friend over the past several years. One of the smartest people I know, he's always a joy to be around and an inspiration to never stop learning.
